The University of Iowa Robotics Club traveled to Cedar Rapids to participated February 23 in the 3rd Annual Cedar Rapids

Public Library STEM Fest.

An estimated 800 people attended the event.

The club collaborated with the Cyclone Space Mining Club at the event, tag-teaming its presentation about the NASA Mining Robotics Competition, a competition both teams are involved in.

The Iowa State team brought its robot and displayed it for families, while the UI team did a fun space-related activity children attending.  The group built stomp rocket launchers, and had the students build paper rockets that were launched over 50 feet in the air, hitting the ceiling of the library.
