Graduation Requirements

The requirements for receiving a B.S.E. degree in Chemical Engineering are the following:
  • Successfully complete the required courses and an accepted Elective Focus Area;
  • Maintain a GPA of 2.0;
  • Complete an accepted enriching activity
  • Complete 128 semester hours of course work (129 semester hours for the Pre-med Elective Focus Area)

Every student must take a minimum of 15 SH of General Education Courses.

  • Among the 15 SH, 3 SH must be from the pool of courses designated as Engineering Be Creative courses.
  • Among the 15 SH, 3 SH from the pool of courses designated as CLAS General Education Courses.
  • Among the 15 SH, 9 SH from the list of Approved Course Subjects
